Day 3 AF Thoughts

Today was a bit tougher for me on this third day AF!

I didn’t get home until late because we went car shopping – then I slept in so this morning I didn’t get my morning routine in and that my friends throws me off all day! So tonight I had intended to workout but again – we had to stop to do more vehicle browsing and ate out (and not healthy) and got home and had to take care of the rabbit… and let her out for some exercise so needless to say it’s past 8 and I won’t be working out. So I’m here – blogging… and saying that today the cravings were there to have a drink.

So for now – for this first week or so – I’m not going to go all crazy with all my goals and commitments and be a bit gentle with myself as I get back to my work routine and at home routine. My MAIN goal will be to stay AF.

For anyone starting this 100 Day Challenge for the first time – I have recorded a video about how it’s important to just focus on that ONE thing … and not to overwhelm yourself with too many other demands (which I was doing).

So for tonight – I’m going to log off… go take a nice soak in the tub and do some self-pampering skin care (a habit I did in my other 100 Days and LOVED and miss), get a good night’s rest and start fresh tomorrow morning with my reading/affirmations, posts and a workout! For now I think I’m going to go back to those workouts I know and love… until I get myself back to ‘normal’ before committing to a NEW program!

Here’s to wrapping up Day 3!

I agree with you. It’s tough when you put so many demands on yourself. You are a very strong woman and you can do anything you set out to do. You have done a magnificent job at being AF, that is for sure. Like we all say to each other don’t beat yourself up too bad. You had a wonderful vacation and got to enjoy some good food and good drinks and relax. It’s hard overnight to get back in the swing of things again but you will be able to in time. Just remember all the things that you did during your first hundred or second hundred days which will help pull you through the Third hundred days. In my 9 days of drinking in April I am very relieved and happy to be at day 3 of my second 100. I remember reading your blog once you finished your first 100 days and you mentioned how having the drinks made you feel tired and sluggish and you didn’t exercise and wasn’t watching your food intake during holiday time. I am now experiencing all of that because when I drank on the few days I did last month I didn’t feel like exercising and I ended up having to eat a lot to keep the nausea away the day after. It was the same old thing that happened before and I noticed with my drinking it’s no different. I was still getting the same outcome. I believe it was Annie Grace mentioned it takes about 10 days for the alcohol to completely leave your system and then you will feel better regarding the cravings. So we only have 7 more days to go. Not sure if I’m being helpful, but I want you to know I’m thinking of you and I have total faith in you that you can do another hundred days. Relax and enjoy your evening. Hugs

I was so glad when I got to the part where you said you were going to be gentle with yourself and not focus on too much at once. I bet you are going to have renewed vigor in the morning after a good night’s sleep. Thanks for all you do for this group!

You are right – waking up after a good night’s rest and into my morning routine … my thinking is much better. Thanks for your kind comments. I so appreciate YOU!
