Nothing Else Matters…

Right now – nothing else matters or counts… My 12 year old had to be taken away by the police because of her self-harming behaviour and due to the fact that we felt she was not ‘safe’ here. I feel like I’m living a nightmare. I am off on stress leave right now for the week – thank GOD! I pray for this to be over soon… for me, for my daughters…

I have nothing more to share except that I need strength to stick this out…

  1. I am so sorry to hear about this, Helene. Without sounding trite, perhaps this is a blessing in some way. Hard to see it now, of course. I say that because it wasn’t until I myself was in police custody then I saw the gravity of what was going on for me. And it might be the same for your daughter. I imagine that she is going somewhere where she is going to be monitored and kept safe?

I am sending positive vibes your way and prayers.

Thank you for sharing this – this heartache. Sobriety is important at times like this. I hope this week finds you in a better place as it moves along.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your daughters during this very difficult time. You’ve been incredibly strong throughout. It’s hard to see your baby hurting and not be able to fix it. But you are continuing to do all of the right things. I hope she turns the corner soon.

  7. I’m praying for you and your family. Like your post title says, nothing else matters.
